NMN · 500 mg · single ingredient

The better-absorbed way to support NAD+ — if you take the science for what it is.

One ingredient, 500 mg of β-nicotinamide mononucleotide at 99.9% purity, nothing else riding along. NAD+ powers your cells and genuinely falls with age; NMN is the precursor your body can actually absorb and convert — unlike swallowing NAD+ itself, which is why we don't sell that. Below: what the research supports, what it doesn't yet, the honest story of its on-again FDA status, and who should wait.

Everything on the label

One ingredient. That's the whole point.

No blend, no “longevity matrix,” no proprietary anything. Every capsule is 500 mg of β-nicotinamide mononucleotide at 99.9% purity, in a plant cellulose (HPMC) capsule. 500 mg sits squarely in the range used in the human studies (250–900 mg), so what you take is what was tested — not a fraction of it in a bigger font.

The evidence

What the research actually shows.

We grade our own products. Where it's strong we say so; where it's early, we say that too — even on the one people most want to believe in.

Strong evidence

NAD+ is real, and it declines with age

This part isn't in dispute. NAD+ is a coenzyme every cell uses for energy metabolism and DNA repair, and its levels fall measurably as we get older. That decline is a genuine, well-documented feature of aging — which is exactly why raising it became interesting in the first place.

Promising, still early

Oral NMN does raise NAD+ in people

Several small human trials have shown that taking NMN by mouth increases blood NAD+ levels, and NMN is smaller and better-absorbed than NAD+ itself — the reason we stock this and not oral NAD+. So the first link in the chain (does it get in and lift NAD+?) has real human support.

Thin evidence

The anti-aging promises are ahead of the proof

Here's the honest gap. The dramatic claims — reversing aging, extending lifespan, restoring youth — come mostly from mouse studies. Human trials so far are small, short, and measure surrogate markers (NAD+ levels, some physical-function scores), not living longer or looking younger. Raising NAD+ is plausible and promising; that it delivers the headline benefits in humans is not yet shown.

If you buy NMN, buy it as a reasonable bet on promising early science — not as a proven fountain of youth. We'd rather you spent $55 with your eyes open.

Our standard

The part nobody else prints

NMN's on-again, off-again legal status.

Most stores won't mention this; we will. In November 2022, the FDA declared NMN excluded from the definition of a dietary supplement — not for safety, but on a technicality: it had been studied as a drug, which can trigger a “drug preclusion” clause. Some retailers pulled it.

On September 29, 2025, the FDA reversed course, concluding NMN was sold as a supplement before that drug investigation and therefore isn't excluded. As of early 2026 it is lawful to sell NMN as a dietary supplement in the United States, and that's where it stands today. We sell to the US only, so that's the status that applies to you.

Why tell you at all? Because a store that hides the messy parts is the one you shouldn't trust with the clean ones.

How to take it

One capsule, once a day.

500 mg daily is a standard NMN serving. Most people take it in the morning — NAD+ is tied to your daytime energy cycle, so morning is the sensible default. With or without food is fine. There's no evidence that megadosing does more, so there's no reason to.

!

Before you buy

Who should skip this one.

If you want proven results, wait. The honest reason to skip NMN is simple: the human evidence for the benefits people actually want is still early. If you only buy things that are firmly established, this isn't there yet — and that's a legitimate reason to pass.

Also skip, or ask a doctor first, if you're pregnant or nursing (it hasn't been studied in that group), or if you're managing a serious health condition and would rather put your money toward something with a longer track record.

And if your real goal was oral NAD+: NMN is the better-absorbed route to the same target, which is why it's the one we carry.

Straight answers

NMN questions, answered.

NMN or NAD+ — what's the difference?

NAD+ is the molecule your cells use. NMN is its direct precursor. Swallowed NAD+ is too large to absorb well, so taking NMN — which your body converts to NAD+ — is the more sensible oral route. That's why we stock NMN and not oral NAD+.

Will I feel it?

Honestly, maybe not in any obvious way. NMN works on a cellular level you don't directly sense. Some people report steadier energy; the science measures NAD+ in your blood, not a feeling. Buy it for the mechanism, not for a buzz.

Is it actually legal to sell?

Yes, in the US, as of the FDA's September 2025 reversal — see the section above. We sell to the US only.

Why 500 mg?

It's within the range used in human studies (250–900 mg) and there's no good evidence that more does more. A clean, studied dose beats a heroic one.

Is this the same as nicotinamide riboside (NR)?

They're cousins — both NAD+ precursors, with slightly different absorption paths and separate research bases. Neither is proven for the big anti-aging claims; both can raise NAD+.

Our standard

Why we stock it.

Because it's a single, high-purity ingredient at a real dose, it's the honest way to pursue NAD+ if that's your goal, and the one open question — whether raising NAD+ delivers the headline benefits in humans — we put in writing instead of papering over. It's a bet on promising science, priced and described as exactly that. That's the most honest version of this product anyone can sell you.
